Warriors of the Storm: Blizzana of Snow and Ice

In Chapter 3 you readers were introduced to the lovely Warrior of the Storm Blizzana. She’s on Hurrican’s side so that makes her a villain but as Chapter 4 shows she has a much, much deeper and softer side. I’m happy that people like her so much because I did my best to make her interesting.

Here’s the character sheet. As Strato’s second in command she does her best to do what is not only right by him but also honorable as a warrior. Unfortunately she’s a bit unbalanced because of what Hurrican does to empower his Warriors. (We’ll see what that is later) This probably goes without saying but she has a huge crush on her leader.

The second sketch was taller but she still has a snarky look about her.

When I went full manga on ThunderKid I tried making her look more regal.

Here’s a pic I did after I rebooted the manga for the final time. I was going to turn this into a color pic for a future cover. I still may.

Chapter 5 Pgs12&14- And down will come Clode

Vaploud Kids of Volume 1 PART 2: Ula, Cume, and Clode

Hello! Starting with the last post I’m going to be posting little things like this in the blog. So I thought I’d do one on the kids of the Vaploud that we’ve been introduced to so far.

Here’s little Ula sans her pitchfork. Around 6-7 years old she’s a bit of a fireplug as you’ve seen from Chapter 4. No stranger to the troubles of Atmos but she still maintains some of the innocence found in girls her age. She wants to be a great defender someday.

Cume is the older brother of age 11-12 making him the oldest kid of the cast (so far). He’s a lot more level-headed and mature than Ula and even the rest of the kids (Aki and Haruka included) so he appears laidback. He’s also a bit of a workaholic when the parents leave him in charge.

Here are some of the first sketches of the two from around 2005. They were around the same age when I made them and were more typical in character than they are now.

Here’s an early picture of Clode who was just introduced. Hair’s about the same but her uniform is a little different. A bit more about her is that she goes to an academy around Ulus. She’s around 9-10 too like the rest of the kids.

This picture of Cume is like the one I did of Ula. I plan to color it someday.

Finally here’s a pic of little Ula, Clode and the new baby dragon. Clode as per usual is giving herself first aid to her latest skinned knee while Ula plays with the dragon. ^^ This is one that I also plan to color soonish. So please keep an eye out for it!

Vaploud Kids of Volume 1 PART 1: Introducing Clode

With page 11, Clode is introduced to the ThunderKid cast. She's kind of a guest right now but she may show up again in future chapters. You'll also notice the new Atmos dragon. I won't give away too much but just know that she's a little bit clumsy as evidinced by the band-aids. ^_^ If she looks familiar then you probably saw her somewhere in the middle of Chapter 2. Her model's a bit different to when she appeared but it's the same girl. I'll post more soon.
